Labeling Requirements

The pack must declare net weight, fiber composition, and a clear “sterile” or “non-sterile” status — this distinction must be unambiguous, not implied. A batch or lot number, manufacture date, and expiry date (required wherever a sterile claim is made) must appear, along with a clear statement of intended use (cosmetic versus wound-care/medical). Country of origin and manufacturer contact details must be legible, and where the product is positioned for medical or wound-care use, labeling should align with what Pharmacy and Poisons Board registration, where applicable, actually supports rather than overstating the product’s clinical suitability. Typical Gaps We Find
